Anne Savage interviews Lisa LashesTuesday, 1st June 2010 ‘Release Me’ is set to be one of the biggest collaborations of the year with an underlying tech feel combined with an infectious vocal. The remix package is not to be taken lightly with 3 unique mixes lined up spread over 2 releases! Anne Savage caught up with Lisa Lashes following the release of Release Me to find out what the leading lady of Hard Dance has been up to. 1. Recently I keep reading your funny Tweets about killer whales and awkward massages (that happened to me as well, they climb up on all fours behind you, very disconcerting!) you've been to loads of far flung places all over the world, but now your back, I hear exciting news that you have some more Lashed events coming up, can you elaborate? Yes indeed its very exciting, this year I;'m relaunching my Lashed parties with the first one back in March at Atomik in Wales which was amazing! Future events we have planned include an arena at Scotland biggest dance event 'Coloursfest in Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin all in June. We have also just finalized the line up for our south Wales party in Cardiff on august bank holiday Sunday and are putting the finishing touches to our Lashed England party and a very special event in Holland which is going to be our biggest yet!. To keep up to date on all these line up announcements check out my website (www.djlisalashes.com) 2. You do your own podcasts right? Do you talk or is it just music? What's it all about and where can people listen? Ive recorded 2 podcasts so far which are available on itunes and through my website Djlisalashes.com. I mix the podcasts in my basement on the decks live into Ableton and then talk over them when im happy with the mix. Its been a lot of fun as I can play whatever music I feel in that hour and Im able to experiment a little more with music than i can usually do in the clubs and also this gives me the opportunity to showcase the music I'm playing on the international scene which is mainly trance and tech trance. 3. We've had a really good response to "Release Me" from DJ's and on the dancefloor, what else have you got coming up production wise that you can tell us about? My next Lashed Music release will be 'Hold Tight' with a remix by Bk that's just landed the other day featuring a very current drum and bass style breakdown which is amazing! I'm also releasing a theme for my Lashed events with remixed lined up by Fausto, Kidd Kaos & Gary Maguire so far and I also have a collaboration in the pipeline with my favorite Ozzie act BRK3! All this and my new trance production' Election day' has been picked up by marcel Wood's 'Musical Madness label' which I'm ecstatic about! 4. You like to buy momentos and clothes when you're on tour (this is fact! - we've splashed some cash together on shopping trips, I can tell you) what did you get on this last tour? Anything bizarre or fabulous? I bought a fabulous leather jacket from bebe in Edmonton at the biggest mall in the world that we've been to before. You know us girls, its hard to even get out the Country for these tours with Kurt Geiger shoe shops in most airport terminals.. *************************************************** Anne Savage vs Lisa Lashes – Release Me Available to download nowfrom Trackitdown.net http://www.trackitdown.net/genre/hard_dance/track/2246988.html 1) Original Mix 2) Bexta Remix Anne Savage’s Siren Trax label returns with a bang for 2010! The remix package is not to be taken lightly with 3 unique mixes lined up spread over 2 releases! First up on the remix we bring more girl power than the Spice Girls with Australia's most popular female dj Bexta stepping up to add her unique twist on this epic production. Bexta adds a saw bassline, soaring hard trance chord stab’s and an energetic triplet section into her mix! Already ripping up floors all over Australia we are sure this package will be topping the download charts worldwide within days of release! Also, keep your eye out for the 2nd remix package where for the 1st time in harddance we will be delivering an alternative dubstep mix from Anne’s Dumb Blonde guise and a remix from Bournemouth siblings the Organ Donors *************************************************** What the rest of the industry say about Release Me.. The two leading ladies of the hard dance scene head back into the studio after recent anthems such as 'You're Not Alone' for a release on Anne's Siren Trax label which I would highly recommend! 10/10 - Kutski I like both versions but in particular the original - i like the voice Luca Antolini I love this and cant wait to make things happen on trackitdown :-) Ed Real The original gets the nod. Really good galloping percussion, keys ,and vocals. A solid 4 out of 5 crumpets! Jon Bishop - USA Thanks for the tune, love it! Rob Tissera The vocals are wicked and without doubt my favorite track I've heard this year, but I don't think Anne and Lisa would deliver no less.
